It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted. It was quite slow for a while, but migrationĀ is in full swing now, and I’m actually finding the occasional warbler.
A trip to Bombay Hook with Graeme was a treat a few days ago.
I got to CBEC again, and Terrapin, butĀ mostly I’ve stuck to Greenbury, Jonas Green and Quiet Waters.

A solitary Tricolored Heron at Bombay Hook.
I see a lot of Cardinals.
The Black Throated Blue Warbler is one of my favorites.
This is a juvenile Indigo Bunting.
This female American Goldfinch may spend the Winter at Greenbury Point.
Many Ruby Crowned Kinglets are passing through.
Carolina Wrens are audible throughout the area.
Brown Thrashers have impressive tails.
The Jonas Green Wood Ducks are thriving.
Red Eyed Vireos are heading South.
There’s always a few Red Bellied Woodpeckers around.
This Ovenbird was a surprise, as I haven’t seen many.
Many Catbirds have been around for a week.
This Common Gallinule was hard to pick out in the reeds.
A female Red Winged Blackbird posed nicely.
We saw 6 Mute Swans at Bombay Hook.
Roseate Spoonbills have been seen in several MD parks.
We followed a small flock of Wild Turkeys for a while.
This Turkey Vulture is drying his wings.
Peregrine Falcons seem to like Bombay Hook.
There wer dozens of Great Egrets at Bombay Hook.
I haven’t seen Bobolinks in a few years.
So far, I’ve only seen Dunlins at Bombay Hook.
The Rose Breasted Grosbeak is another bird I’ve seen rarely.
I’ve e been seeing more Double Crested Cormorants at Possum Point.
This is the first Black Bellied Plover I’ve seen.
