Snowy Egret at Terrapin Nature Park

The weather was nearly perfect again, but the migrants just didn’t show.
I spent quite some time searching likely spots, but to no avail. Fortunately, a few resident birds cooperated.
Insects were scarce as well.

Northern Cardinal

Northern Cardinals are still abundant.

Red Bellied Woodpecker

This female Red Bellied Woodpecker was very vocal.

Osprey

This Osprey is still hanging out when most of buddies have moved South.

Snowy Egret

I usually see Snowy Egrets wading, not in a tree.

Ruby Crowned Kinglet at Governor Bridge Natural Area

I’m back, after three terrible days of bad weather and bad luck. I’ve actually gone out every day, but gotten very little cooperation from the weather, the birds or the bugs. Today wasn’t very good either, but I did see a lot of birds, at least.
Caterpillars were the prize today.

Blue Jay

I was lucky to catch this Blue Jay taking off.

Northern Cardinal

Northern Cardinals were very active today.

Ruby Crowned Kinglet

I've seen several Ruby Crowned Kinglets recently, but this is the first I've been able to photograph.

Pine Warbler at Terrapin Nature Park

The good weather returned this morning, and I decided to take a chance on Terrapin. While it wasn’t as good as I’d hoped, I did see some birds I haven’t seen in a while.
I only spent a short time looking for bugs.

Eastern Bluebird

A small flock of Eastern Bluebirds was foraging at the beach.

Snowy Egret

Snowy Egret

I haven't seen Snowy Egrets since the Spring.

Yellow Rumped Warbler

Spiders and Caterpillars at Governor Bridge Natural Area

It was cloudy and threatening rain this morning, and I might have done as well to stay home. I took a chance anyway, and saw only a few birds, and none worth photographing.
The bugs were somewhat more cooperative, but it wasn’t a great morning.
