Sandy Point for sunrise, then Terrapin for a change. I also stopped at Kent Narrows, but nothing’s there yet.
I found a few birds at Terrapin, but everything seems to be late this year, which I attribute to the very warm weather.

I had intended to go to Sandy Point this morning, but I got a late start and went to Possum Point instead. I can get a good look at the sky when I cross the Severn River, and it looked pretty good, hence the change.
Still no ducks, but the eagles gave me a better look and some small birds are starting to show.
A short stop at Quiet Waters didn’t produce much.
I decided to try the Sandy Point sunrise again today, then look for some wandering gulls. The sunrise was good enough, but I didn’t have much luck with migrant gulls.
I checked out Jonas Green Park as I drove by, but didn’t see anything worth stopping for.
Quiet Waters was only a little better, but a Bald Eagle made it worth the trip.
The weather was near perfect today, a little chilly but with good light and a nice sunrise.
The eagles came out early, providing good looks if not a great close up.
Cormorants are still around in good numbers, along with a few terns, gulls and ruddys.
A quick trip to Quiet Waters was a waste of time.
It was another spectacular weather day, with good light and temps in the 70s. Â Quiet Waters and Thomas Point are closed on Tuesdays, so I went to Possum Point and stuck around for about three hours.
The eagles are still there, but not getting any closer. Ruddys and Cormorants by the bucketful, and I found a few birds behind the Nature Center, but nothing spectacular.
I went to Possum Point for the sunrise, which was disappointing. I never did see the sun at all.
A couple of eagles entertained me,along with a large raft of Ruddy Ducks and dozens of Cormorants.
A quick stop at Jonas Green found some fighting House sparrows, a sight that was a first for me.
Thomas Point was almost deserted, except for a couple of Loons, a bird I like but don’t often see.
