It was very cold this morning;around 20 degrees. I went to Jonas Green Park around 7:30 and was lucky to find my FOS Long Tail. There were a few other nice birds around, but at a distance.
I then went to Thomas Point and got a few goods shots, but it was way too cold to stay long.
I don’t often see Hooded Merganser females without a male.
I took this Song Sparrow image with my 300mm lens.
The light at Jonas Green compliments this Lesser Scaup.
This Long Tailed Duck was a little too distant for a good image.
This Canvasback was at Jonas Green.
Buffleheads were in small numbers, as usual.
A few Ruddy Ducks paddled in close to shore.
This Horned Grebe has been at the point for several days.
