Black Scoter at Thomas Point

I’m still hobbling a bit, so I made a quick trip to Jonas Green, then to Thomas Point where I don’t need to walk so much.
It turned out to be a good choice, as the light was OK, the wind very light, and plenty of ducks in sight.
I took a lot of photos, so I’ll be adding some more pics when I get time to finish processing them.
Turn up the volume to hear the duck serenade.

Cornell:
“A coastal duck that breeds in the subarctic, the Black Scoter is not well studied in North America. Only a few nests have ever been found.”
A first for me.
