The skies were gloomy this morning, but the weatherman promised clearing later, so I went off early. He got it right, and a few migrants showed up to make the morning worthwhile.
Bugs are getting harder to find.
Migrating Blue Jays can be seen everywhere.
This Eastern Phoebe was flycatching with a few of his friends.
Yellow Rumped Warblers will soon be the only warbler we see until Spring.
Red Shouldered Hawks will be easier to see as the leaves fall.
This Swamp Sparrow spent the summer in Canada or the northern US, but will probably stay here for the Winter.
