Black Legged Kittiwake at Sandy Point

Yesterday there was a report of a Kittiwake at Sandy Point, so I decided to take a look. These things don’t usually work out for me, but the bird was right where he was supposed to be, close and in decent light. This bird is pelagic, and really shouldn’t be here. There were few other birds at Sandy point, so I made a brief stop at Jonas Green n the way back and found a few ducks and other birds.

Black Legged Kittiwake

It wasn't hard to guess where the Kittiwake was being observed.

  1. Hugh, your pictures are wonderful. It surely takes a lot of patience and skill to capture the birds in their natural environment. Thanks for letting me know about your blog. Beautiful birds everywhere around us if you take the time to look. Carol
