I could not have asked for better weather. By the time I met Graeme at Lake Artemesia, the Sun was trying to peek through the clouds and temps were rising rapidly.
We circled the lake a couple of times and found some nice birds, including a Redhead, which was a life bird for me.
There were only a few Buffleheads on the lake.
I was surprised to find these beautiful Redheads at the lake. A first for me.
These Tundra Swans are the subject of much discussion, as they closely resemble Trumpeter Swans.
American Coots are often very easy to photograph.
Lake Artemesia is a good place to find Ring Necked Ducks.
It’s hard to pass up a Canada Goose when they pose so well.
This White Throated Sparrow was one of the few small birds we saw.
Graeme Simpson, hard at work.
Ruddy Duck
This Ring Billed Gull may have been sick or injured.
I’m pretty darn certain you got the Trumpeter Swan there. And Ring Neck ducks too??? I so need to get there. Perhaps Wednesday after the storm. I wonder if they’ll still be there.
Beautiful photos. Greetings from Montreal, Canada.
