Although my sprain is getting better, I’m not ready for extensive walking yet, so I went back to Thomas Point where the birds come to you. It was windy and cold, so I didn’t stay as long as yesterday.


Although Canvasbacks are around in some numbers, the Lesser Scaup continues as the dominant duck.



These Ring Billed Gulls were making a lot of noise, but I don’t know why.

A few Black Ducks were foraging near the shore.



This hen Common Goldeneye was by herself.

I was lucky to get any image of these Red Breasted Mergansers who flew off as soon as I saw them.

Buffleheads often mix with the Scaup rafts.




Hooded Mergansers arew becoming more common.

My first Horned Grebe of the season.
