I just rescued one of these little babies. It hit against my kitchen window and I ran out to find it in the Blackberries and Dandelions. It was stunned, so I took it inside and put it into a spare cage we had. I was shocked to see how social it was with me. I stuck my hand in the cage and it actually jumped up on my finger like it was a perch. When it seemed to have regained it’s strength, I brought it outside, gave it a kiss on the beak and told him to be safe – he then hopped up onto the Wisteria that wraps around our porch, looked and me and chirped, then flew off – hopefully back to Momma and the nest.
